KHARISMA DANCE PROGRAM

Our Mission Statement
Kharisma Dance Studio was established in 2003 and our mission is to share the joyful gift of dance that has been graciously provided by a loving and creative God. To foster technical, theatrical, and spiritual dance training while striving to uphold a high level of excellence in the performing arts. We hope to glorify God through the continuous refinement of dance worship technique and execution with modesty and sophistication. “To be in the world, not of the world…” using dance to share our testimonies and encourage, not tear down, our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.

Classes are offered in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Modern, and Liturgical for ages 4 years through adult. Ballroom and Swing Dance are offered in special workshops and in private lessons for students ages 10 years and older. In addition, every session opens with an uplifting spiritual message and focus (e.g., “We dance so that through us God may manifest His glory and power to set people free!” - Isaiah 61:1), conducted by a trained and loving instructor who is dedicated to training up exceptional performing artists and strong spiritual leaders. Our students are encouraged to participate in at least one annual recital or musical performance to share their God given talents and to serve one another in love.

Our Statement of Purpose

We dance because of God, unto God, and through God 
as an act of obedience and worship according to His Holy Word.

We are worshipers of the one, true, living God; 
We will serve no other gods.

Therefore, we will not use our bodies for ungodliness,
but as instruments of righteousness used to glorify God. 
(Romans 6:13)

We will offer them up to God as living sacrifices, pure and acceptable to Him.
(Romans 12:1)

We will let the beauty be that of our inner self (I Peter 3:4) as we learn together what is good (Job 34:4) that the Lord gives us wisdom (Proverbs 2:6) in using every good and perfect gift that is from above. (James 1:17)
